Terms and conditions
Nicky Grant accepts accept payment by cheque, bank transfer or debit card and credit card. Card details are processed securely by Stripe at their website.
Due to their delicate nature, we cannot send cakes through the post. They can either be picked up from our kitchen in Cornwall or they can be hand delivered. There is a fee for this service depending on geographic location. There is also a fee for setting up a cake or cakes at a venue. Prices can be obtained when ordering a cake.
We only deliver chocolates within the United Kingdom. Our definition of the United Kingdom includes the U.K. mainland, Northern Ireland, The Channel Islands & the Isle of Man.
Your order will be sent by first class post, the usual delivery time is approximately 3-5 days from placing your order. If you require your order sooner please contact us and we will endeavour to help or if you require your order on a specific date please use the additional information box at the checkout. Please note that we do not usually dispatch orders during the weekend.
During busy times such as a Christmas or Valentines there may exist an deadline date for ordering chocolates as well as Nicky Grant specifying a delivery date.
If we are unable to dispatch your order in a timely manner we will contact you to discuss alternatives. If suitable alternatives cannot be made we will arrange a full refund.
Please ensure that there is someone to accept delivery during weekday working hours. Should delivery to the address not be possible, a card will be left to inform the recipient how they can collect their parcel or arrange re-delivery. It then becomes the recipient’s responsibility to arrange a suitable re-delivery date. We accept no liability if delivery is not made due to the recipient not being available, or if goods become unsuitable as a result of non-delivery.
Returns policy (for orders made online)
If you feel you have ordered incorrectly you may request a refund within 2 days of purchase. This time frame is used because it will stop the order process before dispatch. Please contact us at the telephone number below or at email@example.com.
All our chocolates are freshly made and dispatched in perfect condition, as we take the utmost care in wrapping and packing them. If any items fails to reach you in perfect condition please contact us within 7 days of delivery. You can then return them to us within a further 7 days using the return shipping label at the address below stating the reason for return. Once we have received the item, we will refund the full purchase cost of that item or send out a replacement by return & refund reasonable postage costs incurred. What we collect
We may collect the following information:
- contact information including email address
- demographic information such as post code, preferences and interests
What we do with the information we gather
We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons:
- Processing and despatch of your order.
- Internal record keeping.
- We may use the information to improve our products and services.
- We may periodically send promotional email about new products, special offers or other information which we think you may find interesting using the email address which you have provided. This will only apply if you have subscriberd to the service within your account.
- We may use the information to customise the website according to your interests.
We cannot guarantee your cakes or chocolates will be free of nut traces. Our kitchen uses wheat, nuts and soya.
