Roses Semi Naked Cake
It’s always a pleasure setting up my wedding cakes at the beautiful Boconnoc House and Estate.
I love the subtle show-through of the cake that’s achieved with a delicate semi-naked buttercream masking (a visual taste of what’s beneath!), and this simple and beautiful cake for Luciana and Tim was in four flavours including Rich Chocolate Cake layered with milk chocolate ganache, Blueberry & Vanilla Cake with blueberry cream cheese buttercream, Lemon Chiffon Cake with Swiss meringue buttercream & lemon curd and topped off with a Strawberry & Champagne Cake.
A separate cuting cake for the bride’s mum which was a gluten, dairy, soya and nut free chocolate cake layered with a dark chocolate & coconut milk ganache.
I dotted the cake with stunning David Austin Roses from Grandirosa in Marylebone, London who created the impressive floral arrangements.
